RESULTS HERE
So, I got 10k points! Thank you so much everyone who downloaded, commented, upvoted and spotlighted my builds!
And to celebrate, here's a little challenge from me.
The shortest plane capable of taking off, flying and landing in one piece wins. The winner gets 15 upvotes and 5 spotlights.
Every inch counts!
Basic Rules:
- No XML editing, no mods, no scaling
- Up to 3 uploads from one participant
- Must be a successor
Additional terms:
- Max part count: 200 (It should be more than enough, but if not - let me know)
- Every entry gets an upvote
- Planes will be tested on high physics with a joystick
- I may use Tournament Validator mod to check designs
- Only "operational" length is taken into account. That is, if your plane is 5 feet long in the editor, but it unfolds to 15 to actually fly, it won't be the shortest.
- If there are two or more planes of the same length, wins the one that flies better.
- If your plane isn't the shortest, but it's REALLY awesome, you might get a second place with 7 upvotes.
Deadline: June 15th.
Good luck!

@Supernovaboss504 yeah, there's new post. I forgot to add the link, now it's on the top of the description.
@iwannabeelected I assume I won but I’d didn’t see the results did I win?
Lol I was gonna ask today @Supernovaboss504
@Supernovaboss504 hang on, I will create a post with the results a bit later
@iwannabeelected so who won?
@DOX yes, absolutely. Wings are not necessary. Though they may give you some advantage when I will be picking the winners
@iwannabeelected ah just one more thing. I've seen some successor that are not even planes (no wings) do they even count
@DOX no, as long as it doesn't become the aircraft's length during the flight
@iwannabeelected does width count?
So far I have one that is 8ft long, but im striving for shorter. Control is still somewhat an issue but I have a platform that I can now work off of. @iwannabeelected This Model is flyable. It's just hard to find space for everything XD.
Game on
@ThePrototype keep trying, and hope you will succeed! Even if it isn't the shortest, you might still win a prize (I reckon there will be more than two winners). And I'd really like to see what you come up with.
And I'm trying to not use a gyroscope for stability....
So, trying to make a mechanical plane 4.9 ft long is proving to be a challenge.... it's uncontrollable at the moment. But I will prosper in the end (Hopefully).
@Armyguy1534 well yes, but no. It is not the length that is shown in specs, but the length of the plane when it flies. So if it is a rocket that takes off vertically but flies horizontally, then the "height" becomes its actual length. Hope it makes sense
So it is shortest length
another entry, I screwed up the successor system
@Chancey21 get off, fly and eventually land, all in one run. It doesn't have to look like an airplane, but it has to behave like one.
Question: does it have to be an actual airplane or just a thing that can get off the ground?
Yea yea i know, @Tully2001
@Supernovaboss504 what?
That’s not the point but ok @Ryn176
Does anyone know if someone makes a successor of your build and you upvote if you get points because if so that could be a problem
@Chancey21 hey, thank you so much for the spotlight!
@Kitten777 You'd be thinking I don't know GTA SA? (Or whatever it is)
