The D-72 Prince really blurs the line between destroyer and fighter. Designed to sneak into a system at FTL and snipe from beyond sensor range the craft is primarily built to operate in space, although it can still perform well in atmosphere. The craft was in service between 2072 and 2231, and was noteably used in the Centauri campaigns of 2150.
