The Vortex came into service in early 1944 and immediately it showed its worth in the field. With a top speed in the high 600s (mph) the Vortex can fly in, attack, and get out quickly to avoid confrontation. But don't think it can't handle itself, it has the turn time and maneuverability to fight off any attackers. It is armed with 4 Hispano cannons and can have up to 3,000 lbs of Bombs or Rockets. Its push engine design made it a perfect base to develop into a jet.
