Butler Kingvector
14.4k BuckFlight
5.0 years ago
Kingsland saw great potential in the Seavector programme. They did not need a naval fighter, though, and instead requested an enhanced land-based variant of the aircraft. A larger wing was requested to lessen the reliance on thrust vectoring in pitch maneuvers. On the contrary, Kingsland asked for more thrust vectoring control for roll action in high post stall scenarios. Butler aircraft did what they could and eventually introduced a larger version of their initial demonstrator. Flaps retract with gear... Enjoy!

I see
@Tessemi
This is quite an unusual design for SP but i really like it! Nice plane
Lol, I was just flying that! I can see some very clever part saving techniques in there, which are very valuable in low part builds
@xXRaindropXx
@Kingflyer1 this obviously is at a lower quality than your builds, but look at the landing gear, it’s a pretty good replication of the mig 23s lg with very few parts and it looks pretty good imo https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/Wz8J92/F-A-990-Raven
You’re not pestering, it’s a good point. I am always happy to hear feedback
@xXRaindropXx
Sorry if I’m pestering you about this, it would just drastically increase the quality of your builds
It wouldn’t increase the part count by much@Kingflyer1
I avoid custom gear mainly to keep the part count down. I am using them on an upcoming Gina, though, so look forward to that.
@xXRaindropXx
Why don’t you use custom landing gear, I’ve done it before and I’m on iOS, it’s really not hard as long as you have XML pistons and rotators
Thank you!

Yeah, it is kind of unfortunate... thanks for upvote!
@xXRaindropXx
It’s nice but it lacks the supermanuverability of the seavector
