Because I could
Simply put, I was bored.
So I did this. Because I could.
The fuselage is a single piece, XML edited x 100.
The nose cone has also been XML edited for weight. It is very heavy.
The wings are structual, XML edited for control surfaces as is usual with all of my aircraft.
The motors..... aren't, but there are 48 of them.
This does fly or at least I can get it to fly from Wright Airport, but you have to stand on the 'go up you big cow' switch for a bit before it starts to head that way.
It gets a bit hairy for a few seconds before it does.
To fly from other runways you may need to move the cockpit back, just so the tail clears buildings and so on.
Runways with a drop off would be a 'good thing' for flying from as they say and air launch is always an option.
Like one of my other creations, inertia loves this. Going down is doable, but you might not be able to get the nose up and you will keep going down even if the nose is going up for a while because of inertia.
Get used to swimming. lol
Adding more motors may be fun or taking them all off and putting on rockets instead may be an improvement.
Then there is always the XML route for motors of course, but where is the fun in that. :P
Also, fly bys are fun with this, it just keeps going past, then the engines hit your ears.
