The B5N1, also known as the Nakajima B5N or "Kate," was a Japanese carrier-based torpedo bomber used during World War II. It was primarily employed by the Imperial Japanese Navy from the late 1930s and throughout much of the war, particularly in the early Pacific battles such as the attack on Pearl Harbor.
