Northwind FC-8 Wraith D
The D variant of the Wraith was one of the later and more advanced models of the airframe. It served as one of the Wright Navy's naval interceptors before the introduction of the Phoenix as well as a secondary role as a bomber. It carries a rather similar suite of air to air weaponry to the Phoenix and Thunderhead and can carry an extensive load of air to ground ordnance. It would see heavy use in Krakabloa's "Pig Alley" and would often get into fights with Howzer's FL-65 Pike II interceptors, which caused the 2 of these aircraft to be compared as rivals despite their different doctrines. The more notable changes to the airframe were the slats, upgraded radar and larger canopy. Flight manual: VTOL down for flaps, up to fold wings, Trim is Trim. Activate 1 for arrestor hook, 2 to jettison fuel tanks, 3 to deploy refuelling probe, 4 to jettison bomb racks, 5 to jettison rocket pods, 6 to jettison reaper missiles, 7 to eject, 8 to arm missiles.
