SAS MB-10 MOD.10
FICTIONAL STORY
In late 1980s it was decided that United Finnish Republic needed a new medium bomber capable of terrain-following flights on transsonic speed, supersonic cruise speed on cruse altitude of 11km, using short runways and taking up little space when parked. It was supposed to complete bomber regiments dislocated on northern small airfields with new bomber. SAS won SLOs competition. The new airplane entered service in 1993 and is still in use
GENERAL INFO
MB-10 is a medium supersonic bomber. It inherited a big amount of equipement and elements of airframe from LF-15 and LF/T-15N. Variant MOD.0 (it was a prototype, 5 were built) was equipped with LAM-12M engines, removed from written off LF-15 MOD.10, but the engines weren't thrustful enough, so in-production variant MOD.10 was equipped with new LAM-16 engines
