The DC-7 was a turboprop airplane with four engines. United Airlines operated 57 of these aircraft from 1954 to 1966 and the DC-7 had around 110 seats. This aircraft was involved in the 1956 Grand Canyon mid-air collision where a TWA L-1049 Super Constellation collided with a United Airlines DC-7 killing 128 people in total.
