Development:
The P-45 Development started in early 1941, aiming to have the aircraft very simple to assemble, and produce, the requirements was to make the aircraft very agile, fast, easy to maintain and simple to produce, and it must have a 10,000HP engine depending on the number of engines.
the original concept
The NP-45-1, the prototype of the P-45 with one engine was underpowered, the military has once turned again to the company that now produces the Marines M272 MBT to redesign the aircraft and reconfigure it with 2 engines, both outputting 10,000HP, the NP-45-2 was finally accepted into service, the aircraft has some reports of maneuvering issues like pitch not working, the new version called P-45B have rectified the maneuvering issues found on the previous model
