I have been on SimplePlanes for 8 months now and reached 50K points. It is a nice community and I am enjoying it.
The number of points doesn't mean the best builder, but it shows the appreciation of my fellow gamers. Because of SimplePlanes I even got friends in the real world (at least we have the same interests). I build whatever inspires me and share my best work for others to enjoy. If someone upvotes, that shows some love for my work; thank you! Or thousands of downloads indicate people enjoying my work, so I feel great. That's why user points are somewhat meaningful for me, and I value them
