Firstly, the end product must be able to fly from south runway, to north runway in orbit view. It must work on IOS in low settings. Now the specialty of this competition. NO CONTROL SURFACES!! The plane can use anything EXCEPT CONTROL SURFACES and engines or fuel tanks modded to more than twice there normal stats.

3,690 LjSpike@kikasshes actually, they could have used propellers on motors. That's another unused method.9.2 years ago
-
25.2k kikasshes@LjSpike Yeah, but it's a motor method without any vectoring9.2 years ago
-
3,690 LjSpike@kikasshes it's still just a motor method though, but alternative control. If we're talking like that I could go full motor-control hybrid and give you a flapperon, or a rudderon. No-control is just systems to replace the control surfaces.9.2 years ago
-
25.2k kikasshesWell it's basically a very simplified way of controlling an airplane. Yaw and roll are controlled with roll input and throttle and pitch is controlled with the throttle. You increase the throttle to pitch up decrease the throttle to pitch down. (trimmed to pitch up at full throttle) For turning the plane it uses yaw. (dihedral wings make the plane roll when yawing) Either this is setup with a propeller and a rudder, or it is setup with two motors with yaw mixing. (=no control surfaces) I made a plane called "simple plane". (https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/jPLwjb/Simple-plane-challenge) This plane uses three motors because you can't mix controls in simpleplanes. But I'm going to make a new one because in the beta you could kind of mix controls by having one input for throttle and another one for propeller pitch. (This method was used in my octocopter)9.2 years ago

3,690 LjSpike@kikasshes I have not.9.2 years ago

25.2k kikasshes@LjSpike Have you ever heard of 2 channel RC planes?9.2 years ago
-
3,690 LjSpike@kikasshes what was that method?9.2 years ago
-
25.2k kikasshesActually there is one more method that wasn't used.9.2 years ago
-
3,690 LjSpikeNope they don't @A5mod3us9.4 years ago

25.2k A5mod3usDo air brakes count as control surfaces?9.4 years ago

3,690 LjSpike@WaterAirLand @Battlebulge @Stingray @AgentObsidian @blueangelproduction @PlanesOfOld @shmexympilot AND THE WINNER IS, @WATERAIRLAND AND HIS LOVELY STEELBEATER -- also an FYI, the only method I didn't see used was using air brakes to turn and pitch. They work quite well.9.4 years ago
-
3,690 LjSpikeEither will do.9.4 years ago

50.4k Stingray@LjSpike I I've submitted 2 entries that have you cockpit attached. I don't need points, so consider them gifts, and keep building and enjoying SP.9.4 years ago
-
3,690 LjSpike@BattleBulge it does need to fly. @Stingray Well, it's primarily targeting rotor blocks, but eliminating rotors there's still two big ways.9.4 years ago
-
50.4k StingrayI see entries using rotor blocks, therefor I'll enter a couple fun entries, with your cockpit and potential credits. This is for fun, I not need points......9.4 years ago
-
50.4k Stingray"No Control" seems it would eliminate Rotors (gyro copters) any wing surface even totally flat surfaces. Without clarification, gonna skip this one.9.4 years ago

3,690 LjSpike@waterairland download this plane and save it. Then either build a new plane in the save OR make the old plane a subassembly and move it across.9.4 years ago
-
3,690 LjSpike@Karlosdarkness @WaterAirLand @Unknownvectors can you put them as remixes of this post. It makes comparing all the results easier. I forgot to say that in the post.9.4 years ago
