X-Wing Fighter
This is Red 5, going in! R2 check those stabilizers. TAKE OFF INSTRUCTIONS: Activate Group 1 to control VTOL thrusters. Use the VTOL slider to control. Optimal takeoff assistance is about 45 degrees to the rear, which is VTOL slider halfway up. Turn off Group 1, and move VTOL slider down to 25% position above neutral. Activate Group 2 for jet engines and Group 3 for X-Wing position. The X-Wing must be opened from stowed position to this slight separation in order to allow for proper aerodynamic control, or else it will be unstable. Throttle up and pull back. Once airborne then open the X-Wing and lock in combat position by sliding VTOL all the way up, then deactivate Group 3. Retract landing gear. Activate Group 1 to control VTOL thrusters. FLIGHT TIPS: Watch those high speed maneuvers above 1500 mph, since catastrophic failure can occur. The X-Wing doesn't yaw like regular aircraft. Roll left (or right) depending on direction change you want, and pitch up to achieve direction change. Roll back to desired position. Cut jet engines for landing and use VTOL. 1,225 CrabwalkerWill definitely be hard to control if X-Wing isn't opened about 25% prior to take off. It does otherwise flat spin and act uncontrollable. Hope that pre-flight configuration tip helps.9.4 years ago
