With a lack of heavy vehicle and cargo transports, a request was put in by the NAC for one, it being furfilled by Fortune industry.
The main points of interest in this helicopter are it's cargo capacity, able to carry at least a dozen tons, and at least 33 ground troops, while also maintaining a good maneuverability.
The first version, V-10 A-1 to 3 had a glazed cockpit glass that provided poor visibility for the two pilots, so a second version, the V-10 B-1 was created.
