The Rocket launcher T34 (calliope) commonly referred to as simply the Sherman calliope, was a modification of the M4 Sherman a bracket above the turret firing 4.5 inch M8 dumb-fire rockets, originally intended to destroy bunkers on D-day, this use for the calliope was soon thrown out because of the high centre of gravity the vehicle made transport risky.
