Thunder Hawks Challenge Dos! [CLOSED]
In this challenge that the Thunder Hawks present to you, you are tasked with making a WW1 aircraft. But, the rules are as follows (just to get them out of the way)
1. XML modding is allowed so long as the parts are yours (everything is allowed)
2. No Negative Weight (unless you are building an Airship)
3. Your creation must be under 1000 parts (there is some lee way)
4. Your creation must be fictional, just to see y'all's creativity
5. Your creation can have anything except mono-wings. (I know about the Fokker E.III, but I think Bi-planes and everything above that are simpler to define as "WW1")
6. MUST BE A SUCCESSOR PLEASE
7. Propellers only. No jet engines or Turboprops/jets
Now, what is this challenge you might ask?
there are 3 categories with subcategories:
1. Medium / Heavy Bomber:
these must be large planes that can drop a payload, and have some form of self defense (Rockets are allowed, but no missiles, nukes, or flares/CHAFF)
Heavy Bombers usually are much larger than Medium bombers, but either are essentially the same. All of which have at least 2 engines and a machine gunner
2. Fighter Planes:
This section is split into 3 groups: Light fighters (DH.2), Heavy Fighters (S.E.5a), and Attack Planes (Bristol F.2b). You can really do anything with this so long as it can fight. Light fighters usually are just fast interceptors with only machine guns, Heavy fighters might have a few bombs, and Attack planes usually have bombs, guns, and a rear gunner to defend
3. Airships (Dirigibles):
I find that Dirigibles are really cool. I do not expect anyone to build one for this, but it is here if you want to. It can hold a few guns, maybe a few bombs. But yeah
Grading process:
0/10 - Does it fit the requirements?
0/10 - Does it look good? (Not very picky)
0/10 - Does it fly fast (for WW1) and is nicely maneuverable?
0/10 - Do I personally like it?
Overall?
I will be posting my own just for the heck of it. Hope y'all enjoy!
DUE DATES ARE NOVEMBER 6TH

Okay! So Trojan has told me that they cannot participate and I also just realized it has been a month... So! I'm going to finish the final scores
Okay, so there are 3 valid aircrafts given. I will wait for @TrojanAircraftSystems to publish theirs, and I will do the grading process. But as of right now, no one besides Trojan can submit a submission anymore. This challenge is closed
Sorry, here are the rewards:
1st: 3 upvotes, a follow, and a spotlight if possible
2nd: 2 upvotes and a follow
3rd: 1 upvote and a follow
4th and below: 1 upvote
@TrojanAircraftSystems okay, cool! And it's perfectly fine
@LieutenantSOT And it probably won’t look near as good as my flying wing did lol
@LieutenantSOT I’ve never built anything much older than WW2. But i sure will try to cook something up!
@NormalPioneer 320 kmh means 320 kmh top speed, most fighters irl (WW2 or WW1, even modern) only reached those speeds under the best circumstance. some people just make the plane go 320 instantly rather than the 280 it should usually fly at
lol
@rexrexThezion fair point
WW1 aircraft had weak engines, anything that goes above 200kph shouldn't be a WW1 era aircraft
@Charris969 I am looking at it right now, thank you for the submission
@NexusGaming if I cannot spotlight, I will give an extra 2 or 3 upvotes
@LieutenantSOT well here is my build for this challenge
@LieutenantSOT what if you cannot spotlight then what do we get
@Charris969 yes, you can do whatever so long as it does not have missiles or negative weight (unless it is an airship) thanks for joining!
Upvoted and cannons allowed?
@NexusGaming thanks!
@LieutenantSOT my entry is in
