Controls
- All flight controls are normal.
- To engage VTOL mode, retract landing gear.
- In VTOL mode, use pitch to ascend and descend.
- FireGuns to fire plasma cannons.
VTOL mode automatically disengages at 200 mph, so you can leave it turned on without affecting normal flight. To come to a stop in midair, just cut the throttle while VTOL mode is engaged.

@Diloph Yes, I know it works on these builds, that's why I posted them :) But think of something else you might want to build that you wanted to animate, without affecting drag of the overall build. Like digital gauges, dials, bar graphs, etc. You don't want your airplane to veer to a side when a needle on a gauge moves, do you?
Oh, I understand now! But I like how the moths you made go slow, and than gain speed on when the wings retract and extend! It gives the idea its kinda flapping and propelling its self.@SledDriver

@Diloph Well, if you fly this build, you'll notice how the speed goes up and down as the build contracts and expands its "wings." That's one side-effect of not being able to disable drag. Another problem is with things like my digital gauge, which can't really be used in aircraft for the same reason (wildly varying drag as the digits change). Then there's the limited range of rotation and fixed shape, which limits what you can build with them. If there was a fuselage block that could move any way you please, a lot more things would be possible.
@SledDriver im sure you know what you can do if that happens, idk how zero drag does anything, but you build in ways I can never seem to understand so
Thanks, @AWESOMENESS360. It's inspired by butterflies/moths in general; I wasn't aware of that particular species.
@Diloph Because they can be animated. And even though they're limited in the range and type of animation, and you can't set drag to zero on them, that one feature makes them able to build things like this. Now imagine what could be done if we had zero-drag parts that could be moved along any axis, and rotated through any angle...

This is super cool! The wing’s shape and how it expands/contracts reminds me of a Skipper Butterfly. Was it inspired in any way by this?
