The Banner Class Frigate is a standard long distance ship designed primarily for patrolling the vast waters within the Empire, as well as provide shore bombardment with its 6 15 inch guns on 3 turrets.

The Banner has a powerplant of twin Raeger Piston Engines channelled into 2 props in the rear, and a 4 rudders to help it turn, 3 in aft. and one in bow and the 3 Turrets can rotate in 90 degrees, both sides.

Designed in the year 1933 Age of Industry, it has proven to be incredibly effective, as it was still in service till recently. It is called the Banner, for it was originally designed to lead the fleet, so the ship's designers decided to have the Imperial banner affixed to the top of the superstructure. A literal "Figure Head"

Imperial Naval Command, or INC, originally commissioned 3750 Banner Class Frigates to serve on multiple fleets, but only 530 ships remain active these days. Many speculate that the INC wants to retire the old Banners, but due to the fact that they already hold a legendary status among the sailors of not just the Empire, but the world, they can't just decommission and dismantle them. Instead they devised to make the remaining ships of this class to "Die in a blaze of glory" or in other words, secretly arrange pirates to sink the Banners during their patrols across the Penaristim Ocean.
They were shortly caught and and arrested for colluding with pirates.
After the purge of Naval command, the new officers have decided to turn the remaining Banners into museum ships. A Banner class could be seen in every Imperial port, and also in ports of foreign countries.
