Derived loosely from the J-45J-2, a two-seat trainer version of the J-45J, the J-45L quickly became Usaria's prime ground attack and strike fighter during the latter months of Drenon's invasion. While heavier than its Air Superiority counterpart, the enlarged control surfaces allow the Strike Dragon to still dance through the air- even still retaining the ability to perform the "Silverback Maneuver" (Pulling positive pitch while yawing and rolling in opposite directions, causing the plane to perform an extremely tight barrel roll of sorts). The fuselage and wings were reinforced to allow the installation of more hardpoints and, of course, more ordinance.
