The Panzerkampfwagen IV was a medium tank produced by Nazi Germany in World War II. It was originally designed to support infantry and to operate in conjunction with the Panzerkampfwagen III, which specialised in anti-tank missions. When the overall performance of the Panzer III became insufficient for armoured combat in the middle of the Second World War, the Panzer IV had more room for improvement than the Panzer III due to the more mature technology used, and thus the Panzer IV became the main vehicle of armoured divisions in the process of continuous improvement. the production of the Panzer IV H began in April 1943, with the hull modification of the Sd.
