It is slated to replace the troublesome Maverick in this role, due to its superior range and maneuverability. The interceptor role is still fulfilled by the Dart Inteceptor Mk 2. Despite its role as an air superiority fighter, it can hold 4,000 pounds of bombs, rockets, and missiles for ground strike. This aircraft has the new low-visibility roundels.

@SimpleTechAndResearch That's what I thought. I thought it was impossible to do a belly-landing in this game. Until today.

@SimpleTechAndResearch Thanks! I was just testing the landing characteristics (it's great) when on one landing, I made the perfect approach and when I was on the ground, I hit the brakes. To my surprise, there was no tire screeching sound. So I went from cockpit view to chase view and discovered I managed to belly land this jet intact! And I know it was intact because I then deployed the landing gear and took off just fine.

Good guess. It's after the F-16 Fightjng Falcon, which this aircraft is based on. Pilots refer to it as the Viper, after the Colonial Viper star fighter from Battlestar Galactica. @General360
