The Lavochkin La-15 was a Soviet fighter aircraft developed by the manufacturer Lavochkin whose post-war developments are not very well known in the West.
It was developed to compete with the MiG-15 and tested in 1948. It was equipped with the British Rolls-Royce Derwent engine or its RD-500 version built under license.
This aircraft was appreciated by its pilots for its maneuverability and rate of climb. Production was stopped after about 500 examples, preference having been given to the MiG-15 for mass production. The latter had slightly less good flight characteristics.
The La-15 was appreciated for its lightness, its maneuverability, its cabin, large and comfortable for such a small aircraft, with
well-arranged instrumentation and its excellent visibility.
The fuselage accommodated 1110 liters of fuel divided into three main tanks plus a small reserve. The plane could also be equipped with an additional 605-liter tank fixed under the fuselage.

I advise you for a maximum feeling to pilot from the internal view.
