🇮🇹CAR INFO🇮🇹

The Ferrari 312 B, introduced in 1970, marked a significant shift in Ferrari's Formula One efforts. Powered by a 3.0-liter flat-12 engine, the car was revolutionary for its time. The engine's design, created by Mauro Forghieri, offered a lower center of gravity and improved aerodynamics compared to the traditional V12s, allowing better handling and speed.

With drivers like Jacky Ickx and Clay Regazzoni, the 312 B had a strong debut season, winning four races and narrowly missing out on the championship. Its development continued into the 1971 season, further refining its performance, though Ferrari faced fierce competition from teams like Tyrrell and Lotus. Nevertheless, the 312 B became a symbol of Ferrari’s engineering prowess and competitive spirit during this era, laying the foundation for future innovations in their F1 cars. Its flat-12 engine design would continue to influence Ferrari's cars throughout the decade, helping the team remain competitive in the rapidly evolving world of Formula One.
