Mk 11 Grenade Launcher

8.7 years ago
A single-shot 37mm grenade launcher which can be mounted under the barrel. This example has a collapsible stock and pistol grip attachment which allow it to be used as a standalone weapon. It employs a hinged breechblock not unlike an M1873 Springfield rifle, except it opens from the bottom. The round, depicted as fired, is a self-contained unit. This example also has a ladder sight, graduated in increments of 100 meters, from point blank to 300 meters, the maximum accurate range of the weapon. Grenadiers with great skill have been known to lob grenades through windows and firing ports at ranges of 200 meters. It provides a grenadier a powerful support weapon while allowing the grenadier to carry a rifle.
