Churchill III
Blast! Jerry’s been at it again, and in a highly unsporting manner has fielded a new series of combat-cats! Yes, Hans always has to have the fanciest tech be it as it may, and has felt the need to produce the Mk VI Panzer! But no worries, because our boys back at home have been hard at work furrowing their brows over how to make an equally boxy tank to rival the hun! And with that, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the glorious Mk III Churchill heavy tank! With up to 176mm of armor at her strongest, she’ll rival any number of Jerrys cats with ease! (Probably). And now you’re probably thinking; Chrome, with all that armor, how on earth are the Krauts supposed to beat the thing!? And so in true British fashion, the cunning designers back at Vickers have decided to deliberately make the new Churchill as slow as a rock, for fairplay reasons of course.
Now, on to the tea-urf, I mean, the technical part: Maneuvering (If you can call it that) is quite simple really, rudder to turn and throttle to drop your sails and move the thing. Turret and gun can be moved with roll and pitch respectively. Use countermeasures to operate your smoke grenade launcher. AG-1 activates your hull-mounted MG, which is fixed to the hull unfortunately.
Some cool tidbits:
-Working smoke grenades
-The coaxial and hull-mounted MG do realistic amounts of damage (comparable to a 7.92mm)
-The turret rotates at a pretty realistic speed
-The tank accelerates and traverse realistically badly
-Neutral traverse!

Have at it! @CaptaincarrocaBR
can I make a successor with a desert skin?
@ChromeGamer25 ohkay.
You can only spotlight posts if you have more points than the guy who made the post, I appreciate the gesture though! @metallicplanes
I can't spotlight this. WTH.
No problem! @ChromeGamer25
@ChromeGamer25 np it deserves it
@ChromeGamer25 The only vehicle I actually liked the pounder was the mark 3 crusader. the 75 form the Cromwell and the 2nd Churchill are good apart from u can only pen weak points on other thanks when ur at BR 4.7
Thank you for the spotlights! @CRJ900Pilot @Frenchyfry @Tang0five @Hawkeye156 @Simplemike it means a lot to me :)
These guns have always felt like high-caliber machineguns to me lol, super speedy reload and hardly any damage per shot @Frenchyfry
@ChromeGamer25 ik.
@ChromeGamer25 ye it takes about 2 now lol, I prefer the second one with the 75 millimetre cannon and of course more armour. I never really feelt comfortable with the 6 pounder cannon in general tbh. Th
I haven't seen any gameplay of it since the AP spalling buff, does the gun actually destroy multiple modules per shot now? @Frenchyfry
I do think the Tiger was superior to the Churchills, but not vastly, and such few were built that it didn't even make a noticeable impact in the war @metallicplanes
love this bad boi in war thunder
@ChromeGamer25 The Tiger was made to tackle the Churchill.
Without a doubt, I completely agree. The Churchills had comparable armor and in some places even stronger armor earlier in the war, and were significantly more effective and common than Panzer VIs @metallicplanes
@ChromeGamer25 ik. The Tiger I and II are the most overrated tank of WW2.
Certainly, lol. Then again the Tiger’s armor is really overrated, a 47mm shell could penetrate the side no problem below 500m @metallicplanes
@ChromeGamer25 In War Thunder it is 120. That should kill a tiger, right?
I thought it was 110? @metallicplanes
Np! @ChromeGamer25
The 57mm gun on this can pen 120mm of RHA with the right shell.
