SB-114 Cygnus
The SB-114 Cygnus is one of the lastest releases from the GHOST aircraft corporation. The aircraft its self can reach supersonic speeds at high altitudes while being able to take out high value ground and sea targets from far away. Cygnus seems to be a welcome addition to any countries airforce but growing concerns over the rise of unmanned aircraft cause concern over the Sb114’s relevance even upon its debut. Due to this we contacted GHOST’s Cheif of R&D Zachary Belland to see what their response is to the ever growing popularity of UAVs being used in more and more airforces around the world and this is what they had to say. “Its no news that UAVs and other autonomous aircraft are on the rise, and the benefits are definitely great aswell. For instance you dont have to worry about risking the life of innocent peopel just to see how fast or how many Gs your airframes can handle. We have been using unmanned aircraft to push the boundaries and make our pilotable aircrafts more capable and much more safe to fly. Not only that even the Director himself has made many mission capable UAVs that can easily fill and role for any mission, the reason we havent realeased them is that the Director understands and appreciates the bravery and value and communication that only a living breathing pilot can do. We dont aim to replace pilots with drones, we want the drones to work as an extension of the pilot to reduce the risk and danger for them.
