Boeing 727-200 (Lufthansa)
Here is my next jetliner replica, another bygone icon of the jet age, the Boeing 727-200 (In Lufthansa colours). The Boeing 727 was a narrow body, short to medium haul trijet, popular in Europe, North America, and Africa. It flew for numerous reputable airlines, and safely carried millions. Despite this, the aircraft has been almost completely retired from service. This due to it’s antiquated avionics, inefficiency, and a requirement for a crew of 3 (A flight engineer is required in addition to usual crew of 2). Despite it’s safe service, it was involved in several high-profile crashes, including PSA 182, which collied with a Cessna 172 over San Diego, killing 144, Iberia 610, which crashed on decent killing 148, and several other cases. It is remembered fondly, and it’s cockpit and avionics were used as the basis for 737.
I personally think this jet looks pretty slick. I decided to sorta challenge myself and do a Lufthansa livery, mainly the bird symbol on the tail was a bit of a challenge. Activation groups are in craft instructions, Enjoy!
