Overview -
The P-762 was designed to meet requirements set forth in the Berusian Military's Future Combat Pistol program which had the purpose of arming the Berusian Military with a 7.62x28 Sidewinder select-fire pistol instead of the 10mm P-10F pistol.
The P-762 was chosen over the M-15 and the S-2A and the Berusian Military started issuing the new P-762s to the Army, Special Forces, Navy and Air Force.
At least one P-762 was used in Operation Dawnhunter.
