Ustalvonyy's prototype jet-engined fighter. the Sonne-Dvesti boasts amazing speed for it's time, but it was quickly superseded by more powerful-engined propeller aircrafts of it's era, nevertheless, this agile light fighter aircraft was the first of it's kind to enter production and saw significant service with an air force.

anyway, this time around, experimenting with.. honestly I've never really touched jet-engined plane that much, I just think they're too.. advanced? well known? idk, I prefer older eras more than anything cause the sentiment is "if it flies it's good enough" instead of "SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED some COIN aircrafts SPEED SPEED SPEED" or "oh hon hon hon efFICienTEE"

anyway, the idea was originally a small 6m long-ish jet fighter but then the tail looks odd so I lengthened the tail resulting in a 9m fighter, but then the body is too small so then I lengthened the body, but then "technically" it's still has a low fuel capacity and flight time so I added "jettisonable fuel tank"(in service, or at least as the story goes, you don't actually do that since it's a waste of a good fuel tank, at least for the first four Dvestis anyway(Odin, Dva, Tri, Chetyyri(however that's spelt in English idk))), and there you have Dvesti, and yes, it's pseudo-inspired by He-162 but not by much, gunwise though, pretty much the same but with an additional 12.7mm MG.

anyway yeah, I think I'm also getting used to the odd "right-screen only"(or left, if you took a part out, it's even more awkward) screen use, but hey, gotta do gotta be do, shxt happens, shxt happened, what can you do? just let it pass.

The Raztveli Sonne-Dvesti(Sonne-200) is a turbojet-powered Light Fighter-Interceptor operated by Ustalvonyy Air Force.

Originally being an experimental venture by the Raztveli Otrasli as the "Raztveli-170", the Ustalvonyy Air Force took interest in developing the technology further for military use.

the development of Sonne-Dvesti was slightly rocky to say the least, from lack of material for the turbojet powerplant, the Viskatherikans strategic bombing campaign, and the skeptical use of such "advanced" fighter instead of the more known piston powerplants which resulted somewhat in limited funding for the project itself, this didn't stop Mr. Andreikov however as he funnelled his own private funds into the project to prove that jet engines are the future powerplant.

then finally, after many revisions and ending in the "Tri" variant(and also the catastrophic failure that is the Vorsemyot-200 which was the other competing traditional fighter), the Dvesti entered service.

the most significant issue it had when it entered service was that it required pilot to retrain themselves on operating the aircraft as it had a significantly different characteristics compared to the previous aircrafts they trained in and this wasn't done without casualty as the significantly higher stall speed caused difficulties for newer trainee pilots, not to mention the different doctrine that has to be used for it which also took time to retrain the pilots on, nevertheless when it finally entered full service, it proved to be not only agile, but fast enough to intercept Viskatherikan Bombers, and even with escorts covering their bombers, Dvesti proved to be capable of taking them on quite well.

the last of the Sonne-Dvesti was retired on 199X, from [name] air force.

• the vibe is something, it's.. fine ik ik, it does exude saber-energy from front, fuxk you, it wasn't even supposed to be saber-energy, it was supposed to be schwalbe-energy, doesn't help that it's nose intake though so agh.
• the screen restriction is hilariously constricting but oddly.. fun? like, "damnit I can't interact that, s l i d e e e", still prefer not having that restriction though, but hey, atleast I can still play SP so that's that.
• I honestly have no experience with jet aircrafts, I mean, maybe if you count the AI-Arcade fighters but those are fuxk-all unrealistic so hecc nuh.
• yes, that is the Russian letter "Zh", I'm too lazy to bother making another insignia label, I mean the Germans literally just go with a "+" with some tail-ends or something so why can't I do that also? hah! *thwack*
