SpaceShipOne
SpaceShipOne was the first manned private spacecraft into sub-orbit. It also won the Ansari X Prize. SpaceShipOne was the brain child of Paul Allen and Burt Rutan (one of my aviation heros). It had an unique "feathering" feature in which the wing and tail booms fold upward at an angle of 65 degrees. This created drag slowed the aircraft down and allowed the aircraft to re-enter the atmosphere with mininum heat shielding. It was carried into the air by a mothership called Whiteknight which I am currently working on. Enjoy! Controls: AD1- raises and lowers landing gear (the landing gear is automaticaly in the up position for when i later unite it with Whiteknight so lower it before takeoff ). AD2- feathering system. AD3- drag parachute. The aircraft has a tendency to roll to the left at high speeds so you will need to trim accordingly.
