These are Ex IDF aircraft used by TSC as transport for people. Pilots tend to commonly nickname these aircraft “flying coffins” due to the fact they tend to transport prisoners (petty crimes to death row) and highly infectious CISs/ specimens, test subjects and whatever else can be crammed into the aging fleet of aircrafts. These aircraft have gone though thousands of overhauls to keep them airworthy enough for the TSC
So far 10 out of the 28 original aircraft have suffered hull losses while every aircraft has suffered from some kind of incident onboard.
Some notable incidents include the following:
2 aircraft were brought down hours apart due to a preplanned escape attempt by 2 groups of TS
A airframe broke apart due to over speed by hijacking prisoners
An entire plane full of CIS brought down an aircraft just by existing (how?)
26 incidents that include some kind of heroic save by crew
Due to the heightened danger of flying these aircraft crews get 2x pay and danger pay stacked on top of their original pay
