With further Soviet assistance, CAC was able to build the Type II of the P.1954, with a revised nose with an intake, only two NR-23O cannons, 4 AA-9 missiles and revised minor rear stabiliser changes. This is slightly slower than the Type I, but packs a bigger punch.
