F-16B Block-10

Description

The Block 10 upgrades of the F-16A/Bs were mainly internal upgrades, with not many exterior differences. Some from the New York ANG were modified for the F-16 CAS Program, but were then refitted back to “normal” Block 10s.

The Airframe

79-0420 first served with Nellis AFB, and then served with many US Air National Guard squadrons, such as the 138th FS of the New York ANG. It also served at Sheppard AFB in Texas. Today, it is preserved at Peoria ANGB in Illinois, where it has been painted to resemble F-16B ADF 82-1042, which crashed in mid-air with F-16A ADF 82-0916. The F-16A (916) landed safely, while 1042 crashed. The crew ejected safely, suffering only minor injuries. 916 is currently stored at the AMARG Boneyard.

@Superliner350 what do you mean? If you are referring to the fact that I am uploading so many F-16s, read the beginning of the YF-16 72-1567 upload, where I explain why I am uploading them.
