The F-18 Tarantula hawk wasp is a close range light fighter that's shown a lot of potential. Using an advanced weapons system first tested on the X-70, during wargames against several aircraft the F-18 pulled out a success rate of 95%. Unfortunately it's incapable of maneuvering on the ground, and relies on cranes for aid in such tasks. 1 for chutes.

Sorry to break it to you but there’s already a plane called the f-18. It’s what the preset wasp is based on.
