Decided to update this build a smidgen. Better is to follow.
The EA-82 Red Vixen is an electronic warfare and attack aircraft developed by SMC Industries following the Saltee war with Turkey, embracing new electronic warfare tactics developed over the course of that war that proved highly effective in both negating and reinforcing air defence operations. Eighty aircraft were built, equipping three squadrons of the Saltwater Air Force.
The aircraft utilises a twin-boom design with a cavernous fuselage housing two crew members operating a large AESA array which serves both as a jamming system, electronic intelligence system, and conventional radar. In addition, jammers, ELINT systems and towed jammers are contained within the twin-booms, with eight weapons hardpoints to carry a mixture of conventional guided and unguided bombs and missiles, as well as external fuel tanks. Each boom also contains a GAU-12 cannon for use against ground and air targets.
With its large airframe and plentiful internal volume, the EA-82 is capable of sustaining and coordinating an extensive electronic warfare campaign in highly contested environments, supporting more regular combat aircraft and elements of the Saltee military.
