Pikeovlev A.3 Perigrine II

Auto Credit Based on Seabo14's SeabCo Peregrine GR/T.Mk.1

A special forces raid to capture a VTOL Perigrine so that the Pikeovlev aircraft company could make it's own VTOL plane in the future was made. However, due to a misunderstood order, instead of capturing a single Peregrine Mk.2, 2 Peregrine Mk.1s were captured. Despite it being the wrong aircraft, the Pikeovlev aircraft company were impressed, but decided to make a few improvements to low speed handling and anrnament, before putting the captured aircraft into service alongside the Archer designated as the A.3 Peregrine II.

Sigh Why waste time creating planes for a Nation that will fall? Just Create planes That don't help Russia and North Korea, that way I won't Swarm every Single Base with F-50s

@PikeovlevPlanes The long T/O was a safety feature to defend against Russian capture on their short runways!

I know @Seabo14 thinks I have made very few changes. This is understandable because visually, it looks very similar. however I have changed other things quite a lot:

@Seabo14 pitching down tends to be a sign of a forward CoM. this results in a more stable, but less agile aircraft.

@PikeovlevPlanes No offence, but it is your plane that pitches down.

@Seabo14 you will also find that aircraft that pitch downwards in untrimmed level flight tend to be more stable.

@Seabo14 I set all the aerofoils to flat bottom, including the tail. This causes it to nose down slightly in level flight, but avoids the problem of massive pitching up whilst dive bombing, allowing for far greater accuracy.

@PikeovlevPlanes On the original, it can cruise without touching the controls. Your version noses down. But, the flying surfaces are a good alternative to VTOL.

I have used different landing gear for stability, doubled flying surfaces for lift at slow speed, and pitch activated flaps for increased control. The weight of the extra armament is two inferno's, mounted forward of the original position. It could not possibly have destabilised it.

You thieving Russians! I knew there was something dodgy about those aircraft inspectors who had left their id at home. Anyway, the armament slows it down and destabilizes it. Ha!
