Me 448
disclaimer! I'm not great at making jet planes, let alone from scratch. If anyone has tips, please share! I'd love to improve! But here we go anyways. Its got a coaxially mounted cannon and 5 machine guns along with two 250 pound bombs. Controls are touchy, i didn't want to spend hours refining this thing so don't lift off until 500 mph have been reached. Lastly, no hard turns or hard descents. I'll just say i tried to leave some realism on planes in that era. So heres my alternate history piece, enjoy. When the jet engine was pioneered and developed in early 1943, any allied hope of landing was repelled by these terrifying wunderwaffe. And so on the eastern front the need for ground support fell into an odd role. Terrifying beasts like the KV-2 had weak enough top armor to be penetrated by aerial mounted cannons, however well entrenched soviets could be suppressed and destroys by convential dropped munitions. And so a hybrid role was developed by Albert Kesselring in close cooperation with the Wehrmacht schwerpunkt tacticians. It would need well developed long runways but would carry terrifying munitions to the front. However it's weak turning and diving capabilities left it vulnerable to allied imported p51s. It was armed with an experimental rear mounted machine gun for some dogfighting ability. However this design would be redesigned up until 1948 when it was ruled out in favor of nuclear powered engines. I plan on making a lot of these planes with some background behind them so i hope you enjoy!
