The A-1B Kestrel is a lightweight, two seat multirole attack aircraft built by FlightArms CAC for export, mainly used by the Tactical Forces Military Global Air Combat branch.

FlightArms signed a deal with the designers of this combat aircraft that they will get rights to develop and build the Kestrel, in exchange that the latter will receive a percentage of the export profits. Production immediately started and in large numbers, due to the jet being quite easy to maintain and cheap to build. Better avionics were installed, fuel capacity increased, and firepower upgraded. In the original blueprints, the Kestrel only accommodated one pilot, but FlightArms developed a two-seater variant for instructors to fly with their students.
The Tactical Forces adapted the A-1B for multiple roles in combat and peacetime. The jet is used for light close air support, mid to high altitude reconnaissance missions near enemy territory, or as trainer aircraft for ground attack oriented pilots looking to fly single seat airstrike jets such as the A-10E Greyhog of the Raiders Squadron. In peacetime, it's mostly used for training, observation, or as low speed chase aircraft.

Although designed for light ground strikes, the Kestrel also has air to air combat capabilities. It's equipped with the standard AAFF-20R Seeker multirole BVR missile for self defense, which can also be used as additional air to ground firepower. It mainly carries two bombs, be it dumb or smart ones, rockets, and a GAU-12 Equalizer gatling cannon inside an underslung gun pod, which can be used against enemy helicopters, and strafing surface targets.

The A-1B possesses excellent agility despite appearing to look like a quite sluggish aircraft. This jet is capable of pulling 9Gs at full throttle, which is 300+ knots at best. The very good pitch and roll response time grants the Kestrel a high chance of evading incoming enemy fire such as missiles and triple A fire. Although quite slow, this shortcoming is more than enough supplemented by the superior control.
