Aircraft history bits and bobs

The Mer-45 Tarpon is an amphibious racing plane developed by Mermont Scavielle Inc, located in Hordland. It is a very exceptional air Racer, quite nimble and has the ability to land on water, making it one of the main pick on water air race. The Mer-45 is based off Mer-20 Stinger, a smaller and more compact Torpedo bomber that the Hordland Navy use, it is usually put on a tender before launched into the air by either a destroyer or a battleship.
The Mer-45 Tarpon is equipped with Nardsook V10 engine, giving it that long appearance, and the plane itself is quite heavy on its own. It has also other upgrades which makes it stands out from Mer-20, like more durable wings, larger floats, and contra rotating propeller and more. This beast of a hunk of stainless steel is almost fearsome, until you realize that it's pretty much crippled with it's own floats.

Trivia

• Despite being a float plane, the Mer-45 cannot land and takeoff on water, because I suck at making seaplane and it always tip to the front for whatever reason.
• The airplane (remaster only) itself is based off WinsWings Robin-ii which you can see by clicking the link.
• This airplanes and a few others are the only one who canonically has never been to a war and is only used for recreational purpose.
• This plane is a mid game seaplane if you haven't guessed it already, however there's an late game version with landing gears instead of floats and a V12 engine.
• Out of the 4, this plane is the only one that looks COMPLETELY different than it's original counterpart, even the Airbuster retain it's original color scheme.
• The plane was originally called "Barracuda", but it was changed to Tarpon because I think it's an underrated fish.
