1937 Armstrong whitworth whitely
Activator 1+VTOL up = bomb bay doors
Activator 2+VTOL= front gun
Activator 3+VTOL= rear guns
Activator 4-7+TRIM= deploys 4 retractable lazer turrets
The Whitely was allready outdated by the start of the 2nd world war, and was the first twin engined monoplane heavy bomber in service with the RAF it could carry a tremendous bomb load and was surprisingly durable, it played a big role in the early daylight raids over occupied France and later was adapted for night bombing over Germany and other occupied countries. It had a hidden lower turret mounted aft of the bomb bay, it was armed with 3 vickers K guns and 2 browning 303's it has a strange wing that was angled thus creating a nose down flight behaviour slightly exaggerated in this model. It was not to last, as all were retired by the end of the war. Some were put into use as transport aircraft transporting troops and supplies aswell as fuel, and some were used as parachute training aircraft, (they had been using the Whitley as a parachute training plane from 1938) unfortunately all were either lost in combat, crashed or scrapped and no complete airframe survives to this day. Although many parts and fuselage sections survive.
Enjoy!
PS: no lazer turrets lol

I feel somewhat the same... If only us (old users) could go on strike in the forums without getting our arses kicked by the mods.. guess how long that bloody short Stirling took me to make! I've got an unlisted version of it and this plane, that are almost 7 months old now! Do not worry, I'm going to try and attract attention to high quality builds again (hopefully) with my new schedule... I'm going to make another Aqua Dromonem.... It may show the noob quality plats how real planes are built... Sorry pointless rant... I'm sorry but I can't be saying things like that anymore, the colonel made another one of his clone ALTS with the PlanesOfOld name on the everyplay site (that I've not used since he managed to bully me off it almost last year) it mad a statement that one could class as harassment towards zed/Ccooper.... Along the same lines as what I said above so... Yeah... If you need to talk about the whole thing to someone else (a mod) I reccoment Cedy he is IOS and builds fab planes hahah we kind of inspired each other :'). But still. This is a problem... @VikDesigns
When I left I thought about deleting my account... I came to the conclusion that it would have been better for me to leave my planes (most were those beautiful wing builds) to leave a showroom of designs, to show new players how to build and leave them there so my name lived on..... If you decide to leave that's your choice and nobody will stop you, but I think you should at least make a forum post or a farewell plane.... Unlike me hahah with my 'good riddance' post when I got pi**ed off with the colonel.... But seriously think about it :) @VikDesigns
What why! Leave them to be seen by the public! There is no point in leaving without leaving a legacy! I mean, look at hypnotoad! @VikDesigns
Wow, it's usualy the other way round but, ok sure what is it? @VikDesigns
No problem nice work! @PlanesOfOld
