The most extensive family of special modifications of the Mi-8 had the task in the most literal sense of interfering with enemy communication systems, air defense and other radio equipment. The saturation of modern armies with a variety of electronic systems, without which the activity of troops and their management could no longer be imagined, in turn, put on the agenda the need for effective counteraction and disruption of the work of such enemy means.
