Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus

4,509 Awesomeplanes  9.2 years ago

The Panzerkampfwagen Maus (mouse, quite a fitting name, isnt it) was Porsche's superheavy tank design, compeating with the Löwe and E-100 designs. Only two prototype hulls were finished, and one prototype turret fitted with a 128mm main gun and a 75mm range finder/secondary gun. It was capable of 20km/h on roads and about 11km/h off-road. The final weight of the Maus was 189.88 tons, and was the heaviest tank ever made. The only surviving prototype, Hull V1 mated with The turret of V... V2, can be visited in the Kubinka Tank Museum in Russia. Driving instructions: Pick direction with VTOL, throttle up. Steering is yaw, and turret traverse is roll. Please Note, ag 1 has to be activated to traverse turret (little thing I forgot to remove) and the road wheels are not a replica, just built that way for simplicity. Enjoy   read more
