Design and Development
In the 1980s, the Indraloka Kingdom required a fighter aircraft for its aircraft carrier. Engineers worked diligently on the project for three years and, inspired by the MiG-31, developed the PT-02 Helang Jawa (Fighter Aircraft 02 Java Eagle). By 1983, 50 units were exclusively produced for local defense and air patrol missions, with additional units manufactured in 1984.

Weighing under 10 tons, this aircraft does not require an afterburner to take off from an aircraft carrier and is capable of short takeoff and landing (STOL) operations.

The PT-02 has a top speed of Mach 3.3, thanks to its sleek design and powerful engines. Despite its exceptional speed, the aircraft retains outstanding dogfighting capabilities, with sharp turning performance near Mach 1. Due to its advanced design and demanding flight characteristics, only highly experienced pilots are permitted to operate the PT-02.

Operational History
During the 1990 war between Indraloka and Mandala, the PT-02 achieved an impressive kill ratio of 280:31, destroying 78 aircraft, 9 corvette ships, 3 aircraft carriers, and numerous ground vehicles.

The PT-02 also demonstrated remarkable range. In 1999, it flew from Jayakarta (the capital of Indraloka) to Naragonia without refueling for a bombing mission.

For easier maneuverability aboard aircraft carriers, the PT-02 is equipped with a 700cc single-cylinder engine connected to the front wheel (AG7).
