The ARC-170 (Aggressive ReConnaissance 170) is a heavily armed reconnaissance starfighter produced by the Incom corporation and Subpro for the Republic navy during the clone wars (22bby - 19bby) and eventually used by the Galactic Empire that came to replace the galactic republic however it was phased out during the imperial era in favour of arguably inferior starfighters.
