C-16 Star
The C-16 Star was the very last propeller aircraft designed and built by BP for commercial or military use. Although not the fastest or prettiest planes they were a marvel of engineering. No modern systems besides GPS, no frills, these were designed to be big freight haulers. (Weight included). The entire class of 15 was named for a famous engineer except 1. The Wright, the Gresley, the Benz, the Vanderbilt, and several others, with the last being named Evening Star. These aircraft weren't treated like others though, they were kept in pristine condition and maintained down to the last weld. However their days were numbered, and in 2035 the entire fleet was retired, except 1. Unusually, the whole class was preserved, however Stephenson was unfortunately destroyed when the museum it sat in collapsed. Evening Star however still serves as a roaming ambassador for the company, and a modified Delphine class cruiser has been dedicated to transporting her around. This class truly was a fitting end for nearly 100 years of propeller aircraft.
