The Antonov An-148 (Ukrainian: ??????? ??-148) is a commercial jet airliner, designed by the Ukrainian company Antonov Design Bureau and built in collaboration with Russia in Voronezh. Its development began in the 1990s based on the Antonov An-74. Work was done on lengthening the fuselage, incorporating a new wing design, efficient engines, fly-by-wire controls and modern avionics.The first flight of the prototype took place on December 17, 2004. The second prototype flew in April 2005. Certification procedures were completed and serial production started in 2009.The factories responsible for producing it were the AVIANT Plant in kyiv and the VASO factory in Voronezh. Although Antonov is a Ukrainian company, almost 70% of the plane's components are produced by Russia.
