This plane originates from a 1986 British Sci-fi movie (that is barely known) called 'Biggles: Adventures in Time'. In the film, it is flown by a fictional German ace, named Erich von Stalhein, the adversary to the movie's main character, Biggles. The plane is portrayed by a modified Boeing Stearman (single-seater instead of two-seater), which is anachronistic, considering the film (partially) takes place during World War 1.
