Changhe Wuzhi-10 (CAIC Z-10, Chinese code name: Fiery Thunderbolt [1], also known as Zhi-10 directly) was developed by China Helicopter Research and Development Institute CHRDI (602) of Changhe Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. Harbin Aircraft Company is responsible for the design and planning of the PLA new generation of professional armed helicopters.
introduce
The Wuzhi-10 is the first professional armed helicopter of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the first self-developed professional armed helicopter of Asian countries. The long-term reliance on French dolphin helicopters and their use as armed helicopters by the PLA air force has ended, greatly improving the air assault and anti-armor capabilities of the PLA air force.
The short wings of the weapons on both sides of the Wuzhi-10 can be mounted with anti-tank missiles and air-to-air missiles, and equipped with a rotating turret. The tandem double seat design is in line with the main features of Western professional armed helicopters.
Using a five-blade main rotor, the propeller improves the fully articulated rotor in a clockwise direction different from the western design, and the tail rotor in a four-blade design similar to the AH-64 armed helicopter; the longitudinal cockpit of the Wuzhi-10 is similar to the A129 armed helicopter, with the front seat as the pilot and the rear seat as the weapon operator. The two cabins are independent, making it difficult for them to be hit by enemy fire at the same time, two cabins; it is presumed that the Wuzhi-10's cockpit field of vision is equivalent to the A-129. The integration of the wing and carcass between the Wuzhi-10 airframe and the short wings of the weapon on both sides can increase the structural strength and lift. At the 2012 Zhuhai Airshow, the Chinese military declared that the Wuzhi-10 had bullet-proof steel plates and could withstand 12.7 mm machine-gun bullet fire from the front.
