History

For the first few years of its existence the Saltwater Carrier Nation operated a pair of old Tide-class supply ships to keep its fleet running. However as it re-formed it was recognised that better equipment would be needed. SMC Marine set about designing and building half a dozen new vessels to take over the role. The class was to be named the Tide-class after the original pair.

These ships were faster and highly manoeuvrable compared to their predecessors and were more heavily armed, boasting a seaRAM system and a 4" cannon. The ships were powered by three gas turbines and had modern bridge capable of orchestrating two replenishments-at-sea simultaneously. They could carry a mixed load of fuel and dry stores and also had a refrigerated section of the hull for food supplies.

Six ships are currently in service, with one assigned to each carrier battle group. Twenty-three civilian-standard ships have also been produced, these vessels lacking the communications arrays, third turbine and weaponry of the military version. They are available to RP countries, costing $146 million per unit.

AG1 arms the main gun, VTOL and TRIM to aim, ROCKETS to fire.

Throttle controls speed, roll to steer.
