Dejen Gale
MERRY CHRISTMAS (A TAD LATE)
The Dejen Aviation Gale is a Winolian naval and land-based jet fighter produced from french and soviet technology transfers in the late 1940s. As the first operational jet fighter in the Winolian armed forces, it was used as a platform for testing and development by other indigenous companies when developing future jet fighters.
Its maiden flight was in November 1948, as soon as Dejen and engineers from other companies were able to finish the design. The first production aircraft took off in 1950 while the first carrier aircraft launched from carriers in early 1951. It was exported to a few other countries but was more significant for its success in reigniting Winolian aviation.
The fighter is powered by a single AeroNautica Mk1 Supara jet engine; An engine developed in 1946 and improved so that it could power fighters of 10,000 pounds (empty weight). Its design is extremely clean. The designers focused on maximising the benefits of both its jet engine and straight wing design to create a fighter capable of acting as a bomber with its 4 potential hardpoints. It comes armed with 2 30mm autocannons each carrying 250 rounds.
CONTROLS:
AG1: Bombs
AG2: Lights
Notes:
Smooth flight model, although a little too agile. I had no basis for this.
Easy to take off and land in.
Londo Bell squadron insignia.

Excellent aircraft! It would look a little better if the control surfaces moved slightly more but other than that this is really an absolutely fantastic build. Lovely job!
